Rules
Everything, in one page.
If you only want to launch, the first four cards are enough. The rest is how the engine works, written so anyone can check it.
Plant
Launch your coin on pump.fun through tree.ring, from your wallet. You are the creator.
Split
Creator fees: 70 % to the coin’s vault, 30 % to you. Locked forever, admin revoked.
Grow
Every UTC day draws one ring: thick if holders stayed, thin if they left.
Feed
Each day the vault buys back and burns: 70 % your coin, 30 % the neighbours that held best.
Launch
- Where
- On pump.fun, by tree.ring. Only coins launched here enter the forest.
- Creator
- The wallet that signs the launch and makes the dev buy.
- Fee split
- 70 % to the coin’s vault (the mechanism), 30 % to the creator. Set and locked in the launch transaction. Never 100 % to the site.
- Health
- A coin is in the forest only while its split sends 100 % of the mechanism share to its vault and the admin is revoked. Otherwise it is cut off: it neither gives nor receives.
The ring
- Readings
- 7 readings of every holder per hour. Program accounts (bonding curve, pool) are not holders.
- Eligible holder
- At least 0.05 % of the supply on all 7 readings of the hour, counted for their lowest reading. For a day, eligible on every hour of that day, counted for their lowest hour.
- Missing reading
- Nobody is eligible for that hour; the day becomes a gap: no ring, and that day’s vault waits for the next day.
- Excluded
- Bundles and the wallets of blocks 0 to 2.
- Ring
- Share held by yesterday’s eligible holders who are still eligible today (each counted for the smaller of the two days) ÷ share held by yesterday’s eligible holders. 0 to 100 %. Worked example →
- First ring
- Launch day has no yesterday: its ring is a neutral 50 %. Until it closes, the sapwood grows live from the hourly readings.
- Drought · scar
- Drought: a ring under 30 %. Scar: a day the creator’s balance went down.
The forest
- Link
- wij = Σ min(sharei, sharej) over the holders eligible on both coins that day.
- Same forest
- Two coins whose last 7 rings correlate above 0.8 (Pearson) have their link doubled. Both values are being calibrated on real readings before they are frozen.
- Daily close
- At the end of each UTC day, each healthy coin’s vault splits: 70 % buys back and burns the coin itself; 30 % buys back and burns its neighbours j, in proportion to wij × ringj. A coin with no linked neighbour keeps 100 %.
- 24 buybacks
- The day’s split is paid as 24 hourly buybacks, so the price is never hit at once. Each buyback burns what it bought, in one transaction. Shares below 0.001 SOL wait for the next day.
- Rounding
- Whole lamports, largest remainder first.
Checking it
- Deterministic drawings
- Every tree and cross-section is drawn from the coin’s mint (the seed) and its rings (the data). The same readings always redraw the same image.
- Independent checker
- A separate program, written in another language, recomputes every ring, link, correlation, split and drawing from the same readings. The expected difference is zero, and it is built to fail when a single reading is altered.
- Percentages
- The site shows fees as percentages, never as amounts.
The honest limits
- Trading stays free on pump.fun. A ring records who stayed; it does not stop anyone from selling, including the creator.
- A ring is not a promise of price. Buybacks support a coin; they do not guarantee anything.
- Bundle detection catches common patterns, not every one. One person can still split holdings across wallets, but splitting never increases a link (Σ min ≤ min Σ).
- The first rings are slow by nature: one per day.
- The forest shown today is a demo: simulated readings, no real buyback.
